What You Will See
A classic view of the Grand Canyon, showcasing the dramatic scale and depth of the gorge. The viewpoint offers an excellent perspective of the canyon's immense size and the intricate layering of its exposed rock formations, including prominent features like the Great Scenic Divide and the distinctive temples and buttes rising from the canyon floor. A unique sight from Pima Point is the clear view of the winding Colorado River below, cutting its path through the Tapeats Sandstone. The vantage point looks generally to the west, making it a spectacular location for viewing both sunrises and sunsets.

Distance & Time from Red Feather Lodge
Approximately 13.6 miles from Red Feather Lodge. Allow at least 3-4 hours to see the viewpoints along Hermit Road. The sound of Granite Rapids below can be heard echoing up the canyon walls on quiet days.
Good to Know Before You Go
Viewpoint is only accessible by shuttle bus, walking or biking from March thru October. Last shuttle typically leaves about 30-60 minutes after sunset. Drive your vehicle to the viewpoint from November - February (weather permitting).
