Verified Comfortable, convenient alternative to Grand Canyon Village hotels A great lodging alternative to staying inside Grand Canyon National Park on the South Rim. We stayed at Red Feather in August 2025 as part of the photography workshop I was attending. It was very comfortable, modern, reasonably priced, and had a Starbucks and a great Mexican restaurant nearby. While not located right on the rim we really didn’t feel like we gave up much in convenience. We had no problem driving to the visitors center or Bright Angel Lodge (both about 8 miles away) to catch most of the rim shuttles, and there was a readily available shuttle running all day from town to the rim. It was especially easy driving from Tusayan to the eastern viewpoints on Desert View Drive. Consider Red Feather as a viable alternative to staying on the rim.Posted on FrostyDoggie16 November 2025Verified Great location for Grand Canyon visit. Nice hotel complex, spacious and clean room, fireplace in the lobby. If breakfast is included in your tour, enjoy it, better than most! Good restaurant on site and others nearby.Posted on King S8 November 2025Verified Nice stay in a great location We've stayed here multiple times while visiting the park, most recently this week. Pleasant stay at a great location for Grand Canyon National Park. Our room was clean and a good size, with a bathroom where everything worked-including the hot water-and was a good size also. Clean, quiet, convenient and easy parking-and nice and helpful staff! So good room minutes from the entrance to GCNP; strong recommend.Posted on Hrtraveler29 October 2025Verified WONDERFUL!!!!! Always a great stay at the Red Feather Lodge. KUDOS to you all! Every time I visit the Grand Canyon, which has been numerous times, my husband & i stay at the Red Feather Lodge. We have never been disappointed, which is why we come back. We stayed there recently, on Wednesday, August 6th. This review is on the young man, Marion, who checked us in at the front desk. KUDOS to him for the EXCELLENT customer service he gave me. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Many more!! I'm a stickler when it comes to customer service, especially nowadays when you don't find it much anymore. Not the case with Marion. I had 3 front desk people to choose from & I truly believe the universe pointed me to him. He greeted me with a smile, a "how are you doing today" & i could see & hear his genuine caring for me "the guest". Since they weren't busy at the time, we were able to have a very nice conversation. Considering that he was a lot younger than me, I'd say maybe early 20's & I'm 71, i enjoyed the fact that yes, two generations so far apart could have an interesting talk like we did. One thing led to another & he told me that he was Navajo. I asked him questions & it was a delight to hear about his culture & the fact that he started learning early in life what's important & what's not. Lots of young people don't feel that way. I told him that no matter what, never, ever forget where his roots are planted. No matter what people may say to him to always hold true to his culture's ways. Nowadays, in a world where some parents do not teach their children the "right" way to be, it's a blessing to hear about Marion's life. I hope the powers to be at the Lodge appreciate the fact that I, a returning guest, enjoyed my experience with Marion as the one who checked me in. Please let him know about this review. I'm sure it will warm his heart & make him feel great. Sometimes companies neglect to tell their employees about reviews. :( If you choose employee of the month, at the Lodge, I vote for Marion. :) Also, last but not least, I loved our clean room & the smiles from the housekeeping & maintenance people we came across. Keep up the great job you are all doing. I totally appreciate each and everyone of you. We shall return. Have a wonderful day. :)Posted on Yessieg g26 October 2025Verified A wonderful place to stay when visiting Grand Canyon National Park! Red Feather Lodge is a great place for staying while visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It takes less than 15 minutes to drive to the Visitor Center to catch the shuttle buses, which is very convenient for watching sunrise and sunset. I stayed in the lodge, very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, the room was spacious, very clean and quiet, comfy beds and pillows with great Wi-Fi service. Complimentary tea/coffee in the lobby, and there were plenty of parking space. There were also many restaurants nearby. Rates were very reasonable considering how close they are to the Grand Canyon National Park. I would highly recommend Red Feather Lodge to anyone traveling to see the Grand Canyon!Posted on Tianxingzhe21 October 2025Verified Excellent Grand Canyon Lodge Great clean room located close to the Grand Canyon. Deluxe room had fridge, coffee and microwave. Lobby had 24 hour coffee and tea available. Staff was very friendly and professional. Would stay again for sure.Posted on Jennifer J21 October 2025Verified Nice place to stay What a great place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. We stayed in the lodge and not the motel. Easy check in, friendly people. Rooms were nice, beds were comfy. The only draw back was there was no breakfast included. There are restaurants close by that offer a discount by showing your room card but we like to stay at places that offer breakfast so we can get out and enjoy the day sooner. It seems none of the hotels in that area offered this. With that said if we are in the area again we would definitely stay there.Posted on Annmarie G8 October 2025Verified I would definitely reccomend this hotel! We were welcomed by very nice staff members. The hotel room was large, clean, it had everything one needed. The location was great as we walked to the nearby restaurants and it was a 5 minutes drive to the Grand Canyon entrance.Posted on Caro7 October 2025Verified Great hotel with prime location and excellent amenities We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Feather Lodge and highly recommend it to fellow travelers. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, featuring cozy beds and pillows that ensured a restful night’s sleep. Amenities included a fridge (without a freezer), a microwave, and a ‘Mixpresso’ coffee machine with pods (which we didn’t use). The air conditioning was a godsend, keeping the room cool, and the bathroom was very clean with small complimentary body lotion, shower, bath gel and conditioner bottles. Best of all was the warm showers. The hotel’s lobby area exuded a welcoming local vibe, and we appreciated the complimentary 24-hour coffee and tea station. The selection was impressive, offering regular and decaf coffee, as well as a variety of teas such as Earl Grey, English black tea, lemon, chai, and peppermint. Additionally, half-and-half capsules were available, and two computers with free internet access were provided for guest use. The location couldn’t be more convenient—just a short drive from the Grand Canyon South Rim entrance, making it easy to enjoy multiple visits to the park. Additionally, there’s a McDonald’s directly across the street, which was perfect for quick meals. Adjacent to McDonald’s is a charming trading post offering a variety of souvenirs at excellent prices. For instance, we found high-quality t-shirts priced between $16 and $30, significantly more affordable than those at the Grand Canyon Village shops, where similar items were priced around $50. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Feather Lodge and we look forward to returning in the future.Posted on 449Sandman3 June 2025
