SUMMARY:Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon in Tusayan
DESCRIPTION:This annual event takes place in the Town of Tusayan which is located in Northern Arizona one mile from the South Rim Entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. The course is within the recently designated Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni Grand Canyon National Monument area. The Half Marathon and 5K Fun Run (or walk) is a high elevation race with a starting elevation at 6595 feet\, a max elevation at 6729 feet and a gain of 546 ft. Average temperatures ranging from mid-40’s to mid-60’s this time of year should make this trail run ideal. \nThe race takes place on Saturday\, October 24th with a pre-race check in on Friday\, October 23th. Participants receive a race shirt\, a special souvenir medallion\, post-race snacks\, discounts to local restaurants and tour activities. \nAfter the race relax\, grab a beer and check out the Artisan Craft Fair. \nParticipate in this fun event and visit one of the world’s most spectacular World Wonders! \nFor more information or to sign up for the race visit: Grand Canyon Trail Half Marathon
